Making our countryside more accessible

New kissing gates will replace dangerous old stiles on two key footpaths around Grove this summer, making the walks more accessible to residents young and old.

Labour and Co-op Party members Dan Rolfe and Jean Nunn-Price, who are members of Grove Parish Council, led this Council project, getting a £5000 grant from the Trust for Oxfordshire’s Environment to help pay for the new gates.  This project was also well-supported by our local Ramblers Association leader, Wilts and Berks Canal Trust Branch Chair and the County Paths Officer, for which we are grateful.
