Dear colleague,

My name is Jerry Weber and I am the chair of Warwick & Leamington CLP. I was also the agent for Matt Western at the General Election in June where we pulled off a remarkable victory and overturned a Tory majority of 6,500.

I am standing as a non-aligned and independent candidate for one of the CLP places on the NEC.

I am standing because I am very concerned about the continuing rift and discord within the Party. It really is time we put our differences behind us and started to build a party to offer the electorate a real alternative. The Party needs reforming. I will be committed to open processes and transparency in dealing with difficult issues such as suspensions and expulsion from the Party.

I hope that you will be holding a nomination meeting and that you will support me and give an independent voice a chance to be on the ballot paper. Although I am a member of the Co-operative Party, I am not aligned to any other group. I believe that CLP representatives on the NEC need to be independent and not dependent on groups such as Momentum and Progress.

At the Party Conference in Brighton, Jeremy Corbyn launched the Party Democracy Review. This is an excellent opportunity to reshape the way the Party operates in particular ensuring a greater voice for members through the CLPs.

The NEC is key to a democratic future of the Party. If elected, I will listen to members not factions within the Party.

Check out my flyer on Facebook

I look forward to your support.

Best wishes

Jerry Weber

Hi, I’d like to know what Rachel Eden’s position on the War on Drugs is. Does she support decriminalisation and legalisation of certain drugs, or does she support putting drugs users in prison?

Hi guys,
I’ve tried to email you guy tonight to no avail, so I just wanted to ask whether you all wanted to meet up before our candidate was announced, so that we could chat.

Looking forward to hearing who will be Didcot & Wantage PPC for Labour on 8th June 2017. Would want to see a policy platform that includes a proper referendum on EU membership.

I am afraid that after many years of supporting labour I can no longer do so. It is very clear that the lurch to the left with Jeremy Corbyn leaves the party, and it’s policies, unelectable as no left wing party can hope to appeal to a majority.

How can I support Jeremy Corbyn please. Many thanks Peter Lioncourt

The right wing press will use Trident renewal as a stick with which to beat Jeremy Corbyn. I think there is a strong case for putting it out to referendum. Why not make the case for disarmament and let the people decide ? This would cleanly separate the issue from the Labour parties main agenda.

When do I get my party leadership voting papers?

After the debate in parliament about Puppy Farming – which was welcomed and long overdue – what if anything is the outcome of it and what do you as a party and an individual plan to do about it in the future! Compared to all the other problems our country faces, the economy, decline of the health service, defence etc this is a problem that could easily be sorted and thousands of sick and abused dogs and puppies can be spared this torment. I am asking all the parties about this matter as it is really important for me. I foster dogs saved from these puppy farms and am a dog trainer so daily see the effects these horrible places cause. Thanks for listening and I look forward to hearing your parties plans for this issue in the future.
